On a bright afternoon at Little Bredy, the Wanderers elected to bat having won the toss.  The first ball of the innings saw some extra bounce to David which he appeared to glove behind to the keeper.  David started to walk but the bowler was convinced it struck David on the arm and called him back!  It was not until the 4th over that any runs were scored, David following a Mike M single with a drive to the boundary.  It was not long before Mike (1) was caught and David (5) followed soon after trying to drive over mid-off but not quite getting all of the ball.  With Ben (1) bowled by the opening bowler and Mike H bowled without score, his spell of 7-5-4-4 had devastated the Wanderers innings.  Mark (2) was unable to repeat his holding performance from yesterday, the Wanderers were 8-5 with Simon now at the crease with Ben doing the running for him.  Luke and James were bowled by the leg spinner.  Simon was in fine form, hitting anything short to the boundary and driving the leg-spinner straight back over the top for four.  Big Dog settled things down and the two of them looked comfortable, until Simon (34) tried to reach a full toss, only to get a leading edge and was caught in the slip.  PW blocked out a few for Big Dog but was run out when standing in his crease when Big Dog was looking to get the quick single to maintain the strike.  All out for 56 was a poor performance.

There was a quick turn around and Mark opened the bowling with Luke.  All of a sudden batting looked easy and Luke was hit out of the attack after 1 over costing 9 runs.  Ben’s 2 overs went for 19.  PW threatened a wicket but after just 7.3 overs the game had been lost by 10 wickets.  Tea was provided by Simon and then we retired to the Simon and Mikepub to cool off!
